Has Swedish startup DoldAdress secured €1.8M for its global privacy initiative?

Stockholm-based startup DoldAdress has successfully raised €1.8 million in a seed funding round, marking a significant milestone for the company focused on online anonymity and digital privacy. This substantial angel-led investment attracted prominent investors, including billionaire Magnus Emilson, former Swedish Armed Forces security chief John Daniels, and Anders Holm, a former investor on the Swedish version of Dragons’ Den. Existing investors also increased their contributions, demonstrating strong confidence in DoldAdress’s potential.

The startup plans to use the new funding to enhance product development and launch its platform internationally. DoldAdress offers tools for personal data removal, monitoring, and protection, aiming to empower users with control over their digital privacy. Founder Filip Landgren expressed pride in raising such a significant amount without resorting to venture capital or issuing preferred shares, highlighting the robust support from angel investors.

With a focus on accelerating new service development and global expansion, DoldAdress is poised to strengthen its position in the cybersecurity sector. The company has already sparked controversy among those who profit from distributing personal data, which Landgren views as an indicator of their impactful approach.
