How can you navigate Islamabad during road closures?

Islamabad’s traffic situation is currently impacted by road closures due to a protest. The Islamabad Traffic Police have implemented a diversion plan to manage the flow of vehicles around Faizabad. Heavy traffic is temporarily restricted from entering the city, while light vehicles are being redirected at various points.

For those traveling towards Faizabad, traffic from Bhara Kahu, Murree, and Islamabad should take Park Road, Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Chowk, Lehtrar Road, Khanna, and the Expressway. Travelers heading to the Airport are advised to use Kashmir Chowk and the Srinagar Highway.

Residents near the Garden Flyover should opt for Zero Point, Srinagar Highway, Club Road, and Park Road. From Khanna Pull, vehicles should use Lehtrar Road, Tramri Chowk, Park Road, and Rawal Dam Chowk. Traffic on Ninth Avenue and IJP Road should consider Gohar Shaheed Chowk, Faqir Aipee Road, and Srinagar Highway, or alternatively, the CDA Double Road via I-10 Service Road.

Finally, for those at Zero Point, vehicles heading to Faizabad and Faisal Avenue should take the Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue. Residents of sectors F-8 to G-11 can use Golra Mor via Srinagar Highway to reach Rawalpindi.
