What changes is Apple making to iPhone features?

Apple is introducing updates to the iPhone that address features users disliked in the previous version. A notable change involves the “Liquid Glass” feature, which offered a translucent home screen appearance. While visually appealing, it often made other elements difficult to see. In the new iOS 26.1 update, users can adjust this by switching “Liquid Glass” from Clear to Tinted, providing a more traditional home screen look. Additionally, on iPhone 16 and 17 models, the camera app could be inadvertently activated by simply picking up the phone due to the Camera Control button. This can now be disabled through the Accessibility settings. Users can also prevent accidental camera launches from the lock screen by disabling the “Lock Screen Swipe to Open Camera” option in the Camera settings. Furthermore, Apple Music now allows users to navigate tracks more intuitively with swipe gestures. The iOS 26.1 update is available for iPhones and iPads, and users who skipped iOS 26 should prepare for a larger download, best done over Wi-Fi.
