What’s New in iOS 26.2 Beta 3?

Apple has released the third beta of the forthcoming iOS 26.2 update, introducing several new features. Noteworthy among these is the enhanced AirDrop functionality, which now allows users to share files temporarily without needing to add each other as contacts. This is achieved through a one-time AirDrop code, valid for 30 days, and manageable via the Settings app.

Additionally, the update includes Hypertension Notifications, accessible via a new API, enabling third-party apps to read alerts from the Apple Watch. Privacy updates have also been made, with a new alert detailing Apple’s updated privacy information.

In Japan, iPhone users may soon have the option to select a different default voice assistant activated by the Side Button, potentially allowing alternatives like Gemini or Alexa. This feature is currently referenced in the beta and is exclusive to Japanese Apple Accounts.

The Liquid Glass “Tinted” setting now automatically disables certain accessibility features to enhance user experience. The Games app receives a new splash screen highlighting improved library filtering and better controller navigation, along with real-time challenge score updates.

Reminders now include an option to mark entries as urgent for alarm notifications, and iPadOS 26.2 beta introduces drag-and-drop multitasking enhancements. As always, users are encouraged to share any additional features they discover.
