There is increasing speculation that Samsung might raise the prices of its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, though this may not apply universally. Samsung’s smartphone chief, TM Roh, has hinted that rising component costs could necessitate higher prices. However, the company might maintain current prices in certain key markets, including the USA, to stimulate sales. Reports from South Korea suggest that while the Galaxy S26 might launch at the same starting price as its predecessor in the USA, prices could rise by $30-$60 in South Korea. This would mark the first such increase in the domestic market since 2023. Other regions, such as India, have already seen price hikes for various Samsung products, indicating a possible trend for the Galaxy S26 series. Although official confirmation is pending, the Galaxy S26 is anticipated to start at $799 in the USA. As Samsung prepares to launch the Galaxy Book 6 series, any potential price increase for these laptops could hint at similar moves for the Galaxy S26 phones. Meanwhile, Samsung has introduced a Mystery Box program offering free accessories during pre-orders for the Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra.
