Will Samsung’s new feature help detect dementia early?

Samsung is set to unveil an innovative Brain Health feature at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas. This new technology aims to identify early signs of dementia by analyzing various health metrics. Attendees can experience this advancement at The First Look event hosted by Samsung at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The Brain Health feature is designed to complement Samsung Health’s suite of preventative healthcare tools, which already includes blood pressure monitoring, ECG, and irregular heart rhythm notifications. Utilizing data from Samsung’s smartphones and smartwatches, the feature will assess gait patterns, voice changes, and sleep habits to monitor cognitive function.

Through this analysis, the feature can detect cognitive decline or early dementia symptoms, offering guidance on preventative steps and suggesting personalized brain training programs to enhance cognitive skills. Samsung has developed this feature internally and is currently conducting clinical validation trials in collaboration with medical institutions.
