This week’s funding landscape in the blockchain sector saw significant activity, with 10 publicly disclosed funding events totaling over $419 million. Architect Financial Technologies, founded by former FTX US president Brett Harrison, secured $35 million to launch a non-US institutional exchange for traditional asset perpetuals. In centralized finance, Erebor, a digital bank supported by Peter Thiel, raised $350 million, doubling its valuation to $4.35 billion. The Web3 sector also saw movement, with Crypto Life raising $20 million to develop a decentralized social platform. Additionally, prediction market aggregator Rocket completed a $1.5 million pre-seed round. The AI sector was not left behind, as HPVideo secured $3 million to enhance its decentralized AI video generation platform, while HodlHer raised $1.5 million to advance its AI-driven Web3 operating system. Infrastructure and tools also witnessed growth, with Coinbax completing a $4.2 million seed round to enhance stablecoin payment solutions. Lastly, HashKey Capital’s fourth fund raised $250 million in its initial round, aiming for a $500 million target to invest in global blockchain infrastructure and applications.
