A significant cybersecurity breach at NAHGA Claim Services has put the personal information of 181,160 Americans at risk. The breach, which occurred in April and was discovered in November, potentially exposed sensitive data including names, social security numbers, addresses, health records, birth dates, and driver’s license information. Although there is no confirmation that the data was stolen, the hacker had access and could have downloaded it. In response, NAHGA has enhanced its cybersecurity measures, informed the FBI, and set up a call center for affected individuals. In Maine, 414 residents are impacted by this incident.
