Apple is set to reveal iOS 27 at its WWDC 2026 event on June 8, with an expected release in September. The update is anticipated to introduce several new features beyond a more personalized Siri. iOS 27 is rumored to support 5G satellite internet connectivity, potentially limited to the forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro models equipped with Apple’s next-gen C2 modem. Additional satellite capabilities may include Apple Maps via satellite and the ability to send and receive photos through Messages. Similar to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, iOS 27 is expected to focus on enhancing quality and performance, with improvements in bug fixes, stability, and Liquid Glass design. An updated iPhone keyboard with advanced autocorrect features, akin to Grammarly, may also debut. While major design changes are not anticipated, a Liquid Glass slider for adjusting interface opacity might be introduced. For iPhone 15 Pro and newer models, new Apple Intelligence features could include scanning nutrition labels for Health app integration, capturing phone numbers and addresses for Contacts, digitizing physical tickets in the Wallet app, and automatically naming Safari Tab Groups. More details on iOS 27 are expected to emerge in the coming months.
