Samsung has officially begun the rollout of its stable One UI 8.5 update, initially targeting the Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Now, the Galaxy S25 FE joins the lineup, with the update first available in South Korea. This latest update is based on Android 16 and carries a firmware version ending in BZDP. Owners of the Galaxy S25 FE in South Korea can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings, selecting Software update, and tapping on Check for updates. Once downloaded, users can initiate the installation, which will prompt a device restart.
The update introduces enhancements to the user interface design and user experience. It includes new Galaxy AI features, refined design elements for One UI apps, and an upgraded Bixby with conversation history and Perplexity AI agent integration. Additional features encompass improvements to Bluetooth Auracast audio casting, Storage Share, and Quick Share, now compatible with AirDrop, among other updates.
