Missouri regulators are intensifying their investigation into a cybersecurity breach involving Conduent Business Services, a major national vendor. The breach, which may affect millions of consumers, was discovered by Conduent in January 2025, revealing that hackers accessed their network from October 21, 2024, to January 13, 2025. Compromised data includes names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and medical records. The Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance (DCI) has expressed frustration over Conduent’s lack of cooperation, prompting them to directly request insurance companies to report their use of Conduent’s services during the breach period. Consumers are urged to monitor their financial accounts, check credit reports, and consider placing fraud alerts. Although the deadline for Conduent’s complimentary credit monitoring has passed, protective measures remain advised. For assistance, affected individuals can contact Conduent’s dedicated line or Missouri’s DCI.
