Samsung is set to host its largest product launch of the year on July 22 in London, marking the first time the city will host the Galaxy Unpacked event. This strategic move aims to capture the European market’s attention ahead of Apple’s anticipated announcements in September. The event will see the debut of five major products: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 Wide, Galaxy Watch 9, and the innovative Galaxy Glasses.
The Galaxy Glasses, developed in collaboration with Gentle Monster, will feature Android XR with the Gemini AI, offering advanced capabilities beyond Meta’s Ray-Ban AI glasses. While both devices share similar hardware, the Galaxy Glasses stand out with superior AI integration, enhancing user experience through better reasoning and task execution.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is designed to compete directly with Apple’s expected foldable iPhone, set for release later this year. By launching in July, Samsung aims to establish a foothold in the foldable market before Apple’s entry. The Fold 8 Wide boasts a sleek 4.3mm profile when unfolded and a nearly square inner display, offering a compelling choice for consumers.
Samsung’s aggressive approach with five simultaneous product launches underscores its commitment to leading the foldable and smart glasses markets, particularly in Europe, where competition is fierce.
