Will Samsung’s smart glasses with displays arrive in 2027?

Samsung and Google have unveiled their forthcoming smart glasses, which will operate on the Android XR operating system, emphasizing AI experiences powered by Gemini. These wearable devices will be available in two styles, created in collaboration with fashion eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The initial models, however, will not include built-in displays. Samsung is working on versions that will incorporate single and dual displays. The audio-only smart glasses are slated for a Fall 2026 release, while those equipped with displays are expected to debut the following year, although delays could push their launch to 2028. Both versions will accommodate prescription lenses, offering practicality for users needing vision correction.
