Has Sika Financial Group secured $2 million to enhance cross-border payments?

Sika Financial Group has successfully raised $2 million in seed funding from Aruwa Capital Management, facilitated through the Aruwa Capital Fund II. This investment aims to bolster Sika’s expansion in cross-border payments infrastructure, focusing on enhancing regulatory presence, settlement and clearing capabilities, liquidity infrastructure, and currency corridors. Founded by Emmanuel Ashirifi in 2023, Sika specializes in providing financial institutions with solutions for multi-currency transactions in fragmented markets, covering more than 15 currencies across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. The investment arrives at a time when emerging economies are experiencing increased trade and investment flows, yet many regions still grapple with outdated financial infrastructures. Sika’s mission is to address these gaps by offering efficient financial solutions that improve capital efficiency and reduce settlement risks.
