Apple has unveiled a major overhaul of Siri, now branded as “Siri AI,” at the WWDC 2026. This update introduces a host of new features, enhancing conversational abilities, integrating seamlessly across systems, and offering a refreshed interface across various platforms. Acknowledging past limitations, Apple presents the redesigned assistant as significantly more capable, able to engage in multi-turn conversations, access real-time global information, and interact with personal data across apps. Siri is now embedded in the Dynamic Island, accessible through various gestures and voice commands, with a new voice engine offering more expressive speech and customizable voice settings. During demonstrations, Siri showcased its ability to handle complex requests, such as managing event reminders, identifying landmarks, and organizing photos. It also demonstrated its capacity to synthesize information from different apps, creating menus and drafting messages based on past conversations. A new Siri app allows users to review past interactions and start new ones, with conversation history synced via iCloud for seamless device transitions. This app is also available on watchOS, while on Mac, Siri integrates with Spotlight and context menus. On visionOS, Siri AI offers a 3D visualization feature, enhancing user interaction.
