Can you now have more colorful chats on your Galaxy phone?

Galaxy phones and tablets have adopted Google Messages as their default messaging app, and Google is consistently introducing new features. A recent addition to Google Messages is the ability to apply themes to individual chat threads. This new feature, known as Chat Themes, is available to some users who have opted for the open beta version of the app. While users could previously change chat bubble colors, they can now also customize the chat background. However, these customizations are visible only to the user making the changes, while the person on the other end will continue to see their own chosen theme. This update signifies a shift from Google’s previous approach, where the same chat theme was applied to both participants in a conversation.
