Could the Galaxy Z Flip 8 be the last in its series?

Samsung introduced its first clamshell foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip, in 2020, with annual updates to the lineup ever since. The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 is anticipated to launch on July 22, 2026, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. Recently, speculation has intensified that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may be the final iteration of the series. This follows a new report supporting the claim that Samsung intends to discontinue the Galaxy Z Flip line to concentrate on the Galaxy Z Fold series. Should this be confirmed, the Galaxy Z Flip would join the Galaxy Note as another major smartphone series that the company has phased out.
