The UNU Macau AI Conference 2026 invites panelists to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education. Set for November 25-26, 2026, in Macau, the conference will gather global experts to discuss AI’s role in enhancing learning systems and expanding access to quality education. Under the theme “AI × Education,” the event will delve into how AI can improve teaching, learning, and governance, as well as how societies can prepare for responsible AI integration.
Prospective panelists from academia, civil society, government, and the tech industry are encouraged to submit expressions of interest, with a focus on contributions from the Global South. Selected speakers will have the opportunity to present their insights and co-author a post-conference publication. The conference will feature five thematic panels, including discussions on generative AI’s impact on employability skills, agentic AI’s integration with human judgment, Macau’s strategic role in AI policy, ethical communication in AI-mediated environments, and AI education in low-resource regions.
Panelists will collaborate with coordinators, engage in pre-conference preparations, and contribute to a Springer book series. The selection process prioritizes thematic expertise, diverse perspectives, and original contributions. Interested individuals must submit their applications by August 7, with selected panelists announced on August 21. While panelists are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses, sponsorship opportunities may be available. For inquiries, contact AIConference@unu.edu.
