Did Tangos raise $20M to scale its AI investigations?

Tangos has closed a $20 million seed round to accelerate development of its autonomous AI platform for financial crime investigations. The Tel Aviv-based company says the funding will bolster efforts to automate complex risk, fraud, sanctions and compliance workflows.

## The funding and backers
The $20M seed round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners. A cohort of venture firms joined the round, including Leaders Fund, Clarim, Venture Israel, SignalFire, Clutch Capital, Selah Ventures and Bright Data. The capital injection positions Tangos to expand its product and go-to-market operations.

## What Tangos builds
Founded in 2005, Tangos develops autonomous AI tools designed to handle end-to-end financial crime investigations. Its platform aims to connect disparate data points, surface hidden relationships and reduce the manual labor involved in complex probes across fraud, sanctions screening and compliance cases.

## The problem it addresses
Financial crime investigations increasingly resemble network problems that overload traditional, manual processes. Detection systems have improved, but investigative workflows remain slow and inconsistent. Tangos focuses on bringing scale, speed and repeatability to those downstream steps using machine-driven reasoning.

## Use cases and customers
Banks, fintechs and crypto firms face rising pressure to resolve AML, KYC and fraud alerts quickly and accurately. Tangos’ AI-driven approach is tailored to these sectors, promising faster case resolution, fewer false positives and more defensible audit trails for compliance teams.

## Strategic impact and next steps
With seed funding secured, Tangos will likely accelerate product development, expand engineering and customer success teams, and enhance integrations with data providers and enterprise tooling. The raise should help the company push autonomous AI deeper into financial crime prevention stacks.

The investment marks a significant step for Tangos as it seeks to reduce the operational bottlenecks that hinder modern financial crime investigations and to scale autonomous AI across regulated industries.
