Samsung has released One UI 9 Beta 5 for Galaxy S26 users enrolled in the beta program. The 1.1GB update, identified by build ZZH6, focuses on bug fixes and stability improvements for the Android 17-based software and includes the August 2026 security patch; it does not introduce major new features.

According to Samsung’s changelog, the update resolves an issue where the Settings app could freeze or display a white screen when opening certain menus. It also fixes a problem with the camera widget on the lock screen that could become slow or show a black screen when launched. The bottom floating bar in the Phone app, which sometimes failed to appear correctly, has been corrected. A temporary blank screen that could show when opening the recent files list in My Files is addressed, and Home screen behavior has been fixed so that 1×1-sized shortcuts are added correctly to the bottom bar.
For creators and editors, Samsung fixed a misaligned or flickering preview screen in both the Video Editor and Photo Editor, and implemented a broader fix for intermittent screen flickering in certain situations. The update also tackles Wi-Fi connection errors and improves overall connection stability.
