DRAM market share: Samsung reaches nearly 40% in H1

Samsung’s DRAM market share hit 39.4% in the first half of this year, nearly 40%, according to a report from South Korea — a 5.4 percentage-point increase from the 34% share recorded in the same period last year. The rise comes amid a relentless memory super cycle driving strong demand for memory chips.

DRAM market share benefits from memory super cycle

Rising demand and constrained supply have given Samsung significant pricing power. Average sales prices for DRAM chips have skyrocketed over the past year and, per the report, show no signs of a downturn yet.

Smartphone market share boosted by Galaxy S26

Samsung also recorded a 22% global smartphone market share in the same period, up 1.8 percentage points year-on-year, largely due to the robust performance of the Galaxy S26 series.
