Longtime leaker Sonny Dickson has shared an image of differently colored SIM card trays he says belong to the iPhone 18 Pro, indicating Apple’s next Pro models may come in Silver, Dark Cherry and Sky Blue — with no black option.
Dickson posted the image in response to a recent report that cited a Chinese leaker claiming the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could include Dark Cherry, Sky Blue and Black. Dickson told the reporter the three colors in his image are the only ones he has encountered in recent months.
He did, however, previously share iPhone 18 Pro dummy units in May that included a fourth Black color. Dickson said black dummies are produced every year, but argued black is not a color Apple prefers to use anymore.
iPhone 18 Pro color options and regional SIM differences
Apple currently sells the iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange, Silver and Deep Blue. Market differences may affect how color leaks appear: iPhone models sold in the U.S., Canada and several other regions use eSIMs and do not include SIM trays, while devices sold in Europe, Japan, China and Australia still ship with physical SIM trays (the iPhone Air was an exception, lacking a SIM tray everywhere it was sold).
A Chinese leaker named Instant Digital said in April there would be no black color for the iPhone 18 Pro. Last year marked the first time Apple’s high-end iPhones were not available in any black or dark gray option, making a continued absence of black plausible. Another report from the same month suggested Apple might offer Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Dark Gray and Silver.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its September event next week, alongside its first foldable iPhone, referred to as the “iPhone Ultra.”
