Galaxy S27 Price Leak Shows Major Hikes Across Lineup

A new leak on X suggests Samsung’s 2027 flagship Galaxy S27 lineup will see a significant price increase: the base model is reportedly expected to start at $1,099, a $200 rise over the Galaxy S26 and $300 over the S25, potentially making it the most expensive Galaxy S series yet.

Galaxy S27 price breakdown

According to the rumor, the reported starting prices across the Galaxy S27 family are: Galaxy S27 — $1,099 (+$200); Galaxy S27+ — $1,199 (+$100); Galaxy S27 Pro — $1,399; and Galaxy S27 Ultra — $1,499 (+$200). These figures are presented as early expectations and have not been confirmed by Samsung.

What’s driving the hike

The leak cites broader industry pressure from rising component costs, particularly memory chips. The rapid expansion of AI data centers has increased demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and manufacturers are shifting capacity toward higher-margin products. That shift is tightening the supply of conventional DRAM and NAND used in smartphones, laptops and other devices. Several companies, including Samsung, have already raised prices for existing smartphones, and many models have seen increases of $100 or more in recent months.

Samsung has not announced official Galaxy S27 pricing and could still adjust plans depending on component costs and market conditions. With no immediate end to the memory supply constraints in sight, however, a price increase for the S27 series appears increasingly likely.
