Orange Morocco is embarking on a strategic transformation of its network in collaboration with Ericsson to pave the way for the arrival of 5G. The operator is modernizing its infrastructure by integrating cloud-native technologies, which are essential for next-generation 5G applications. The implementation of the “Cloud Core Policy Controller” aims to enhance network resilience and expand its capabilities, thereby facilitating the emergence of new use cases.
This project also includes the expansion of IMS and Packet Core sites to support services such as VoLTE, advanced 4G, and the initial stages of 5G deployment. Orange Morocco is focusing on increased automation of its infrastructure through updates to Ericsson’s software tools, which are already in place to manage its network operations.
This initiative is part of a long-standing collaboration between the two companies, which has been active for over twenty years, and aligns with the objectives of the national strategy, Morocco Digital 2030. Through this effort, Orange Morocco aims to equip the country with a more robust and adaptable network infrastructure.
