What major changes could the Galaxy S26 bring in 2026?

Samsung is preparing to shake up its Galaxy S lineup with the upcoming S26 series in 2026. Rumors suggest a potential rebranding, with the introduction of a Galaxy S26 Pro and the possible discontinuation of the Galaxy S Plus. The standard model might become the Galaxy S26 Pro, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra retains its name. A shift in chip strategy is also anticipated, with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 likely powering the Ultra model, and Samsung’s Exynos 2600 expected for other models, depending on the region. Charging capabilities might see an upgrade, with the S26 Ultra potentially supporting 60W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging for select models. Design-wise, the S26 series could feature more rounded corners and a redesigned S Pen for the Ultra. Camera improvements are expected across the board, including a new 200 MP Sony sensor for the Ultra and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera for the Edge. The S26 Ultra might also debut a new M14 OLED panel, promising enhanced visuals and better battery life. Overall, the Galaxy S26 series could bring significant changes in design, performance, and functionality.
