Are Samsung’s foldable phones being phased out in major markets?

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new generation of foldable phones at its upcoming Unpacked event this summer. As anticipation builds for the debut of the 7th-generation Galaxy Z lineup, the company is gradually discontinuing its current 6th-generation models in significant markets, including the USA, UK, Europe, and India. This means that purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Flip 6 from Samsung’s online store has become increasingly difficult, with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 already out of stock in several regions. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 remains available in some areas, such as India and the USA, but its availability is dwindling. Both models are currently unavailable in Germany and the Netherlands. This strategic move comes as Samsung hints at an exciting Unpacked event, where it is expected to unveil not only the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 but potentially a new Fan Edition Galaxy Z Flip as well. By clearing out older models, Samsung is paving the way for its latest innovations, ensuring that consumers invest in the most up-to-date technology.
