The Exynos 2600’s Xclipse 960 GPU has recently shown impressive benchmark results online. Equipped with 8 Compute Units (CUs), it significantly outperforms current-generation GPUs. Despite earlier underwhelming Geekbench results, the Exynos 2600 has now achieved scores of 2,810 and 9,301, surpassing the Dimensity 9400. The Xclipse 960 GPU scored 3,135 points (23.23 FPS) in the 3D Mark Steel Nomad Light test, outperforming the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s Adreno 830 GPU. It features 4 Work Group Processors (WGPs) and 8 CUs, with a maximum clock speed of 555 MHz, indicating heavy throttling. Notably, the GPU tested is an engineering sample with an unrestricted power budget, suggesting the retail version may not match these results, though firmware improvements are possible. Samsung is reportedly developing this GPU in-house with a Huawei engineer, marking the first Xclipse GPU not based on AMD RDNA architecture.
