Samsung has introduced its latest QD-OLED TV panel just days before CES 2026, promising enhanced brightness and picture quality over previous models. The new panel, set to be displayed at Samsung Display’s booth in Las Vegas from January 6, boasts a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. This advancement positions it among the brightest self-emissive displays available, offering more vivid colors and increased perceptual brightness compared to other OLED panels.
The panel achieves its remarkable brightness by maximizing the brightness of each red, green, and blue pixel component, resulting in purer colors at peak brightness. Unlike LG Display’s OLED panels, which incorporate a white sub-pixel that can dilute color purity, Samsung’s QD-OLED technology maintains color integrity.
Additionally, the panel is designed to work with AI-based picture quality optimization technologies, likely to feature in Samsung’s forthcoming high-end television models.
