A high-security alert has been issued across Bihar following reports that three Pakistani terrorists associated with the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed group have entered the state through Nepal. The Bihar Police have disseminated the names and photographs of the suspects, identified as Hasnain from Rawalpindi, Adil from Umerkot, and Usman from Bahawalpur, to all districts. It is believed they may have crossed into Bihar via Araria. The Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, confirmed that an alert has been sounded statewide, with all district police and specialized units instructed to maintain heightened vigilance and increase patrolling and search operations to prevent any activities by anti-national elements. Security has been intensified around key locations, including airports and tourist sites such as Bodh Gaya’s Mahabodhi Temple Complex, Rajgir’s Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Patna’s Mahaveer Temple, and Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji at Patna Sahib. Additional measures have been taken in areas with high tourist traffic, including Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, and Patna. The border with Nepal is under close watch, with increased monitoring at checkpoints and vulnerable routes, and police across all districts have been directed to enhance area domination exercises and work closely with intelligence agencies.
