How is Suplyd transforming restaurant infrastructure with $2 million in new funding?

Suplyd, a digital procurement platform based in Cairo, has successfully raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment, led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors, aims to enhance Suplyd’s role in revolutionizing restaurant operations in Egypt. Founded in 2022, the company addresses inefficiencies in Egypt’s $10 billion HORECA supply chain by connecting restaurants directly with suppliers and streamlining procurement processes. Having grown nearly 20 times since its initial funding round, Suplyd now serves over 5,000 restaurants, offering tools that simplify inventory management and backend operations. The new funds will help the company expand its services beyond procurement and deepen its presence in the Egyptian restaurant ecosystem. Suplyd’s innovative approach is seen as pivotal in the digital transformation of the F&B sector, providing a comprehensive, tech-driven solution that reduces waste and enhances supply chain predictability.
