The Boke Foundation’s SDG Hero Program took center stage at the UNU Macau AI Conference 2025, held from October 23 to 25 in Macau. This conference, marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the 50th anniversary of the United Nations University, gathered over 500 experts and leaders to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in sustainable development and educational equity. The Boke Foundation’s case study on the SDG Hero project was featured in the newly launched UNU–Springer Book Series on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development. The program, which integrates AI with game-based learning, aims to promote global educational equity and sustainability literacy. During the conference, Ms. Ada Han of the Boke Foundation presented the program’s achievements in countries like Kenya, Thailand, and China, emphasizing AI-assisted teaching innovations. Additionally, the foundation hosted a workshop titled “SDG Games: Play & Learn for a Better World,” engaging participants in learning through the SDG Hero interactive board game. Since its inception in 2021, the SDG Hero Program has expanded to over 50 countries, training 1,500 educators and reaching 60,000 young learners. Through AI-driven content and a digital platform, the program continues to deliver cost-effective and sustainable education worldwide.
