Nonprofits on the Eastern Shore are set to benefit from a groundbreaking AI-focused workshop titled “Fundraising Forward: AI-Powered Relationship Building for 2025.” The event, scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, at Eastern Shore Community College, will be led by Patrick Kirby, a nationally recognized expert from Do Good Better Consulting. This initiative is the result of a collaborative effort among the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation, United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore, Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism Commission, aiming to bolster the capabilities of local nonprofits. Monika Bridgforth, Executive Director of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation, highlighted the challenges faced by these organizations, emphasizing the workshop’s role in providing them with innovative tools and strategies. The workshop will cover fundraising strategies for 2025, feature live demonstrations of AI tools like Otter and ChatGPT, and include a copywriting lab during lunch. Running from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with an optional session from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, the event requires a $30 registration fee, which includes lunch. Registration opens on August 4 at www.esvachamber.org, with limited seating available. The event is supported by financial and in-kind contributions from various local organizations and individuals, ensuring broad access for the nonprofit community. Patrick Kirby, renowned for his expertise in fundraising strategy and donor engagement, has trained over 3,000 nonprofits and businesses in AI-powered techniques, focusing on practical and accessible methods.
