Is Apple Cutting iPhone Air Production Due to Low Sales?

Apple is set to reduce the production of the iPhone Air by one million units this year, as sales have not met expectations. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are outperforming their predecessors, and the standard iPhone 17 is a notable success, surpassing the iPhone 16’s sales. To meet demand, Apple plans to increase production of these models by two million units. The overall production target for the iPhone 17 series has been raised to 94 million units for early 2026. Interestingly, while the iPhone Air has struggled in western markets, it sold out quickly in China. In related news, Samsung has reportedly canceled the release of the Galaxy S25 Edge due to similar sales challenges. Additionally, details about Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone and other future devices have emerged.
