At the end of September, the 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) took place in Shanghai, showcasing the latest high-tech trends in China’s manufacturing sector. Covering more than 300,000 square meters and featuring around 3,000 companies from 28 countries, the event set a new record with over 1,000 new technologies and products on display.
Three major trends dominated the fair: the integration of artificial intelligence with machine tools, the pursuit of extreme precision, and rapid advancements in industrial robotics. The “AI + Machine Tools” zone highlighted innovations like Shanghai Smartstate Technology’s AI agent, which enhances machine tool efficiency by up to 40% and enables micrometer-level precision.
Extreme precision was another focal point, with companies like Controlway and Inovance presenting cutting-edge measurement and processing solutions. Controlway’s sensors achieve accuracy below 1 micrometer, while Inovance’s collaborative robots boast impressive repeat and positioning accuracy.
Robotics advancements were also prominent, with Chaifu Robot’s heavy-duty model capable of lifting over five tons, and Flexiv Robotics’ 7-axis arm demonstrating exceptional dexterity. The fair underscored China’s growing influence in industrial robotics, with experts predicting its emergence as a leading global machinery exporter.
