What does Samsung’s 2026 premium lineup reveal?

Samsung is set to continue its tradition of launching premium handsets annually, including the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z foldable series. For 2026, new iterations are anticipated, with model numbers already surfacing in unreleased software. The Galaxy S26 series will include the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, identified by model numbers SM-S942, SM-S947, and SM-S948. Notably absent is the Galaxy S26 Edge, reportedly discontinued due to poor sales of its predecessor. In the foldable category, model numbers SM-F971, SM-F776, and SM-F976 are designated for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8, respectively. Despite uncertainties surrounding the “FE” foldable’s value, Samsung appears committed to its continuation. However, there is no mention of a follow-up to Samsung’s initial tri-fold phone, anticipated for a limited release this year, indicating a cautious rollout strategy for this high-end device.
