TransCrypts, a blockchain-based platform, has secured $15 million in seed funding to enhance digital identity and credential verification. Led by Pantera Capital, the funding round included contributions from Lightspeed Faction, Mark Cuban, and other notable investors. In just two years, TransCrypts has expanded significantly, now serving over 450 enterprise customers and 4 million users, including several Fortune 500 companies. The company aims to empower individuals with full control over their employment, health, and educational records, addressing the challenges of AI-driven fraud and digital misrepresentation. With the new funding, TransCrypts plans to broaden its services to include health and educational records, having recently achieved HIPAA certification. The company is set to expand its team and operations, with co-headquarters in San Francisco and Toronto.
