Despite the recognized need for unified systems in the hospitality industry, only 54 percent of hoteliers currently use integrated tools. However, there is a strong interest in adopting new AI applications, with 89 percent of hoteliers planning to implement them. The industry is seeing the rise of the “augmented hotelier,” characterized by the use of chatbots, mobile check-in, and AI-driven decision-making. The future of hospitality technology involves simplifying and unifying fragmented tech systems, aligning commercial strategies across revenue, marketing, and sales, and focusing on sustainable operations. The goal is to empower hotel staff to innovate and enhance both profitability and sustainability. Future-ready hotels are expected to synchronize sales, marketing, and revenue management to improve market responsiveness and optimize operations. Although sustainability is often stated as a priority, it is frequently deprioritized in practice. Aligning eco-efficiency with profitability through forecasting and resource optimization is suggested as a way forward. Additionally, data security, system integration, growth enablement, and secure payment processing are key areas of focus for hospitality leaders.
