Despite his preference for traditional methods, Carbone recognizes the need for a systematic approach to managing customer relationships across his expanding global restaurant empire. Magic’s first product, Loyalist, is already in use at Major Food Group’s locations and other renowned dining establishments such as Le Bernardin and Momofuku. The startup, led by Maggie Tang, aims to revolutionize how restaurants utilize customer data to enhance service and personalize marketing efforts. With a $10 million seed round led by Lerer Hippeau, Magic seeks to integrate AI to tailor communication and reservation management, ensuring a bespoke dining experience for patrons.
