Egyptian InsurTech company SehaTech has raised $1.1 million in a seed funding round to advance its AI-driven health insurance solutions. Led by Ingressive Capital, the funding round also saw participation from Plus VC, strategic angel investors, and existing supporters A15 and Beltone Venture Capital. This latest investment increases SehaTech’s total funding to $2 million. SehaTech’s platform aims to streamline health insurance administration by automating workflows, reducing operational inefficiencies, and addressing fraud and abuse within the insurance sector. With the new funds, SehaTech plans to expand its team, enhance its AI capabilities, and extend its operations across Egypt and the region. The company is committed to increasing access to quality health coverage and building a more inclusive and financially sustainable healthcare system. CEO Mohamed Elshabrawy emphasized the goal of reducing friction between insurers and providers to make health insurance more accessible to underserved populations. Ingressive Capital’s Maya Horgan Famodu highlighted the importance of SehaTech’s mission in addressing healthcare delivery challenges, particularly in regions with infrastructure gaps. Prior to this round, SehaTech had received funding from A15 and Beltone Venture Capital, which supported its initial growth and platform development.
