How Are Travel Startups Securing $560 Million in Funding?

Despite a sluggish start to the year, travel tech startups focusing on B2B solutions are leading the charge in securing funding. Recent weeks have seen a slight uptick, with notable investments in the hotel and vacation rental sectors. Canary Technologies, a hotel tech company, raised $80 million, while Holidu and Wander, both specializing in vacation rental management, secured around $50 million each. Kolet, an eSIM app, also raised $10 million, emphasizing its B2B potential. The largest funding, however, was for SkyNRG, a renewable jet fuel producer, which obtained $285.7 million to advance its sustainable aviation fuel initiatives. In total, seven travel startups have raised over $560 million in the past month, reflecting a renewed interest in modernizing the travel industry through innovative tech solutions.
