Is Decathlon giving a second life to your sports gear?

Decathlon is set to host its third Circular Bazaar at the Singapore Lab in Kallang from October 25 to 26, inviting sports enthusiasts to trade in their used weights, scooters, skateboards, and winter apparel. The initiative is part of an expanded buy-back program aimed at promoting sustainability by extending the lifespan of sports products. Customers can receive up to $800 in Decathlon vouchers for their pre-loved items, with selected bicycles eligible for a monetary refund. Technicians will inspect, repair, and refurbish the traded items, which will then be sold as discounted “Second Life” products. This effort aligns with Decathlon’s goal of moving towards a zero-waste policy by offering sustainable alternatives through repairing and reusing sports equipment. Additional features of the bazaar include bicycle maintenance services and sports stations for trying new activities. The event, which previously attracted tens of thousands of visitors, is expected to draw 20,000 attendees this weekend.
