Catalyx Space has successfully completed a $5.4 million seed funding round, led by venture capital firm Outlander VC, with participation from several other investors including Arka Venture Labs and Techstars. This follows a previous $1.7 million pre-seed round in January 2025. The San Francisco-based company focuses on providing a “downmass service” aimed at returning space-manufactured materials to Earth. The new funding will be directed towards commercializing their reentry architecture and expanding international operations. Paige Craig, founder of Outlander VC, highlighted the transformative potential of Catalyx’s services, likening orbit accessibility to the cloud’s programmability. The global space infrastructure market is projected to grow significantly, reaching $308 billion by 2032, according to Catalyx. The company was founded by Rifath Shaarook, Clinton D Antony, Keerthan Chand Aluvala, and Saqib Hussain.
