How is SiteLabs transforming independent pharmacies into preventive care hubs?

SiteLabs is revolutionizing healthcare access by turning independent pharmacies into neighborhood centers for preventive screenings and clinical research. With a $1 million investment from Boomerang Ventures leading a $2 million seed round, the company aims to address critical healthcare gaps in the U.S. This funding, supported by Labcorp Venture Fund and SC Launch, Inc., will help SiteLabs scale its platform, enabling pharmacies to offer affordable diagnostics and connect patients to clinical trials, thus improving health outcomes for underserved communities.

Darren Schaupp, CEO of SiteLabs, emphasizes the potential of independent pharmacies to enhance healthcare access, given their deep community ties and regular patient interactions. The company seeks to empower pharmacies with the necessary tools and partnerships to close gaps in preventive care and research recruitment. Schaupp’s global health experience informs SiteLabs’ mission to tackle challenges such as preventive care gaps, limited patient engagement, and financial pressures on pharmacies.

SiteLabs’ model shows promise, with early pilots in six pharmacies completing over 6,300 screenings, boosting trial enrollment and reaching diverse patient groups. With over 60,000 community pharmacies in the U.S., the potential impact is significant, as these pharmacies can reach nearly 90% of Americans within a five-mile radius.
