This biennial report serves as a crucial guide for CIOs, educators, researchers, and policymakers, aiding them in making well-informed decisions about innovation. Key areas of focus include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Web3, Quantum Computing, and Immersive Technology. Researchers from the University of Twente played a significant role in this publication, bringing insights from various faculties. Notable contributors include Funda Yildirim from the Faculty of BMS, specializing in Immersive Technologies; Amirreza Yousefzadeh from the Faculty of EEMCS, focused on Computing; and Steven van Roon from the Faculty of ET, working on Humanoids. Collaborating with experts nationwide, they identified the primary trends influencing the future of XR in both education and research.
