Has Apple launched a new iPhone accessory with ISSEY MIYAKE?

Apple, in collaboration with the Japanese fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE, has unveiled the iPhone Pocket, a limited edition accessory designed to carry an iPhone, AirPods, and other essentials. Inspired by the concept of “a piece of cloth,” the 3D-knitted accessory resembles an elongated iPod Sock, forming a strap from a ribbed, elastic textile. This design allows users to see the iPhone display through its open structure.

The iPhone Pocket is available in two versions: a short strap in eight colors priced at $149.95, and a long strap in three colors for $229.95. The short strap comes in shades like lemon, mandarin, and purple, while the long strap is available in sapphire, cinnamon, and black. Both styles are compatible with any iPhone model, and the color palette is crafted to complement all iPhone colors, offering versatile styling options.

Molly Anderson, Apple’s vice president of Industrial Design, highlighted the shared design philosophy between Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE, emphasizing craftsmanship and simplicity. The iPhone Pocket, with its distinctive silhouette, provides a stylish new way to carry everyday tech essentials.

The accessory will be available from November 14 on Apple’s online store in several countries, including France, Italy, and the U.S., as well as at select flagship Apple Stores worldwide, such as those in London, New York, and Tokyo.
