NC AI has introduced its new AI foundation model brand, ‘VAETKI,’ aiming to transform various industries through specialized artificial intelligence. VAETKI, which stands for ‘Vertical AI Engine for Transformation of Key Industries,’ is designed to be versatile, operating across different devices and capable of processing diverse data types, including images and audio. CEO Lee Yeonsu highlighted the importance of expertise, security, and efficiency for successful industry-specific AI applications. The model supports various scales and modalities, adapting to industry-specific needs and optimizing data usage.
NC AI has already surpassed its initial development goals by achieving a 100 billion parameter model and implementing projects in over 28 industrial sites. The company is actively working on smart factory transformations and collaborations with major players like Hyundai AutoEver, POSCO, and Lotte in sectors such as logistics, distribution, and cultural content. Recent service launches include ‘Barco Voice’ for voice generation, ‘Barco Translation’ for real-time translation, and ‘Barco 3D’ for creating 3D graphics.
Looking ahead, NC AI plans to develop a high-performance model with 200 billion parameters and aims to achieve global AI safety and reliability standards by 2027, with demonstrations across manufacturing, logistics, and content sectors set for completion by 2026.
