Is Samsung boosting its 2nm chip production to rival TSMC?

Samsung is accelerating its semiconductor production capabilities by upgrading its upcoming facility in Taylor, Texas, to focus on 2nm chip manufacturing instead of the initially planned 4nm chips. The company has significantly increased its production target from 20,000 to 50,000 wafers of 2nm chips per month. This ambitious move aligns Samsung’s output with that of TSMC, the current leader in semiconductor manufacturing, as both aim to produce the same number of 2nm chip wafers monthly.
