Samsung has launched sales of refurbished Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphones in the United States through its ‘Certified Re-Newed’ program. These refurbished models are available at significantly reduced prices compared to new units, making them more accessible to consumers. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at $1,699 for the 256GB model, $1,749 for the 512GB version, and $1,879 for the 1TB variant. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is offered at $939 for the 256GB model and $989 for the 512GB version.
The refurbishment process involves four key steps: an expert inspection of all components, replacement of faulty parts and installation of a new battery, assignment of a new IMEI number, and software update. Each device undergoes a rigorous 147-point quality test, and only those that pass are certified as ‘Re-Newed.’ Finally, the refurbished phones are packaged in a new box with a starter kit and come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
