Paddy Lambros, a former advisor to European startups at Atomico, identified hiring as a key challenge for growing companies, prompting him to establish Dex, an AI-driven recruitment startup. Dex recently announced a $5.3 million seed funding round led by Notion Capital, bringing its total funding to $8.4 million. The startup specializes in connecting AI researchers, software developers, and machine-learning engineers with tech companies. Since launching in 2025, Dex has achieved an annual revenue run rate of $1.8 million and aims for profitability by year-end. The platform uses AI to interact with candidates, offering personalized job matches and interview preparation. Dex charges employers a percentage of the hired candidate’s salary, similar to traditional recruitment firms. While competitors like LinkedIn and other startups are also investing in AI recruitment, Dex plans to expand to New York and San Francisco with its latest funding.
