Apple is set to finalize the approval of OLED panels for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max this month, with Samsung Display and LG Display likely leading the supply. This year, China’s BOE has been excluded from the premium tier supply chain due to quality and yield issues with its LTPO+ technology. The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to feature LTPO+ display technology, which promises better power efficiency and potentially longer battery life by optimizing OLED light emission based on environmental conditions. Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro is anticipated to integrate under-screen infrared technology, potentially allowing some Face ID components to move beneath the display and possibly reducing the size of the Dynamic Island. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro models in September.
